Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology was founded by Sr KET in 1986. The college offers nine UG and four PG programs. The Institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. Sir MVIT is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution.

Eligibility For Four Years Bachelor of Engineering Under Graduate Program
A candidate who has passed 12 Std with Obtaining at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category of Karnataka) in the above subjects taken together. English as one of the Language as compulsory and subjects Chemistry / Bio Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the 12th standard.
Eligibility For Two Years Master of Business Administration Program
- General candidates must have a degree in BE or B.Tech in similar stream with minimum 50% and for reserved category it should be 45%.
Sir MVIT College of Engineering Hostels
The Sir MVIT University hostels are part of the Sir MVIT University for both girls and boys. The hostel is accommodating over 940 student in the MVIT University. Also to add to the hostel capacity on more hostel is being constructed. Providing the students with facilities like 24 hours library , indoor games, gymnasium, guest rooms.
